The Middletown Home Mini Walk to End Alzheimer’s

22 Oct 2021
This year the Middletown Home was proud to host our first “Mini Walk to End Alzheimer’s!” Our residents joined us for an afternoon of supporting and remembering those with Alzheimer’s Disease. “The Walk to End Alzheimer’s” is a foundation that works to spread awareness and to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Every year there is a walk in Harrisburg at City Island where people gather to commemorate those who have Alzheimer’s. For our “Mini Walk” our residents each got a flower which they would raise high in the air to recognize caregivers, individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, and those supporting the cause. We took our “Mini Walk” around the building and then enjoyed Italian Ice from Sunset Slush. It was such a nice afternoon that we even decided to stay outside for Bingo! We are thankful to everyone who supported our team for this year’s “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” and we all are hoping and praying for a day when we can celebrate the end of Alzheimer’s Disease for good!
